| 09:04 am - Response to Questions Lawyers Ask When Clients Aren't Listening "What? You don't recall the famous dictum of Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes? 'Going back to the very foundation of English common law, we find, repeated year after year in the reports, capra caca, capra caca, ganat accusatus, which means, Nanny Nanny Poo Poo, the defendant wins.'"
That would make a great needlepoint.
Today I must visit my local law library (in El Cajon) and try to find out what a California state Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus actually looks like. Hard to believe I've practiced criminal appellate law for over three years now without needing to file one before this.
